February 15:

New Zealand summer sojourn ends. Return to Sydney from Gisborne New Zealand.

February 19 – March 4:

Poland. Chopin anniversary concerts.

April.  15  -20:

Teach graduate course on issues in language curriculum, Catholic University, Quito, Ecuador.

April 22-24:

Plenary speaker. Conference at Catholic University, Quito.

April 30:

Gisborne, New Zealand. Opening of exhibition, “Power Dressing, Korean and Chinese robes from the Jack C Richards collection”. Tairawhiti Museum.

May 20-30:

Join Friends of the Canadian Opera Company for opera performances in Milan and Venice, Italy.

June 20-30:

Attend Schubertiade 2010 festival, Schwarzenberg, Austria.

July 13:

Inauguration of Victoria University Composer in Residence for 2010-2011, with concert at Victoria University, Wellington.

July 15:

Sponsored recital by soprano Margaret Medlyn, Victoria University, Wellington.

August- September:

Lectures at the Regional Language Centre, Singapore.

October 23:

Keynote address, 5th University of Sydney TESOL Research Network Colloquium.

November:

Gisborne International Music Competition (a principal sponsor). Selection of 4 performers to play at the Tiromoana Summer Concert Series.

December 15:

Inauguration of the Tiromoana Summer Concert Series.
