As a past recipient of a number of scholarships, Dr. Richards
in turn now supports a number of scholarships that provide
financial support for both language teachers as well as art
students.
He also supports New Zealand composers, through commissions and through the Creative New Zealand / Jack C Richards Composer in Residence program at Victoria University.
