Dr. Richards has active cultural interests in music and the
decorative arts, and is an avid art collector. His collections,
located in Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, reveal an
eclectic interest in painting and the decorative arts. They
currently include textiles, paintings, and art glass (Lalique).
He is also an enthusiastic music lover and supporter of musical
activities such as the
Tiromoana
Summer Concerts and the New Zealand School of Music Composer in Residence.
